Pest Monitoring
Early detection is the key to preventing infestations. We install and maintain professional monitoring devices in key zones across your premises — detecting pest activity between scheduled visits, before it becomes a problem.
Overview
Monitoring
Monitoring is the early warning system of your pest management program. Between scheduled service visits, professional monitoring devices — insect traps, rodent bait stations, fly units, and species-specific detectors — are installed in key zones across your premises. These devices are checked at every visit, giving us continuous data on pest activity levels and allowing us to detect and respond to new activity before it develops into an infestation.
What we monitor
We install monitoring devices appropriate to your site's risk profile and the pest species of concern. This typically includes adhesive insect monitors in kitchens and food areas, rodent bait stations along perimeters and in storage areas, fly light traps in food handling and dining areas, and pheromone traps for species-specific detection (e.g. stored product pests, clothes moths). Device placement is strategic — targeting the high-risk zones identified during inspection and risk assessment.
Why monitoring matters
Monitoring provides continuous surveillance of your premises between scheduled visits. Instead of finding out about a pest problem when a customer complains or a staff member spots activity, monitoring devices catch it early — often before the activity is visible. This allows for prompt, targeted response before the problem escalates, reducing the risk of infestation, contamination, compliance breaches, and reputational damage. It also provides objective data on pest activity trends over time.
How we monitor
Monitoring devices are installed during your initial service and maintained at every scheduled visit. Our technicians check each device, record what's been captured, replenish or replace as needed, and assess whether activity levels indicate a developing problem. If a monitoring device shows unexpected activity, we investigate further — identifying the source and recommending a targeted response. All monitoring data is recorded in your site documentation.
What you receive
Your monitoring program includes professional-grade devices installed in strategic locations, regular checking and maintenance at every scheduled visit, recorded monitoring data showing activity trends over time, and prompt response if monitoring detects developing activity. The monitoring data is part of your site documentation — objective evidence of your pest management program's effectiveness for auditors and compliance teams.

FAQ
Monitoring — your questions answered
What types of monitoring devices do you use?+
We use a range of professional monitoring devices depending on your site's risk profile: adhesive insect monitors, rodent bait stations, fly light traps, pheromone traps, and species-specific detectors. Device selection is based on the pest species of concern and the environment — we'll discuss what's appropriate for your premises.
Are the monitoring devices visible to my customers?+
We place monitoring devices strategically — in areas where they're effective but discreet. In customer-facing areas, we use discrete, tamper-resistant devices. In food areas and kitchens, devices are placed in compliance with food safety standards. We'll discuss placement with you to ensure devices are both effective and unobtrusive.
Do the monitoring devices use chemicals?+
Some monitoring devices (like rodent bait stations) may contain bait, while others (like insect monitors and fly traps) are non-chemical. We'll advise on what each device contains and where it's placed. All devices are professional-grade, tamper-resistant, and used according to label directions and safety standards.
What happens if a monitoring device detects activity?+
If monitoring shows unexpected activity, we investigate further at the next visit — or arrange a priority callout if needed. We identify the source, assess the extent, and recommend a targeted response. The goal is to catch and address activity early, before it develops into a visible infestation.
