Pest control pricing in Newcastle
Pest control pricing in Newcastle and the Hunter is competitive and transparent. Universal Pest Control publishes its pricing — we believe you should know what you'll pay before you book, not after. Here's a breakdown of what different treatments cost and what's included.
General pest treatment
A general pest treatment covers the inside and outside of your home for common crawling pests including cockroaches, spiders, ants and silverfish. Pricing depends on the scope of treatment and the size of your property.

Termite inspections
Termite inspections are priced separately from general pest treatments. Bundling saves you money.
- Standalone termite inspection — $240 (units & townhouses), $295 (single & double storey homes)
- Bundled with general pest spray — $195 (units & townhouses), $240 (single & double storey homes)
- Termite treatments start from $550 if activity is found
- Inspection includes a written report compliant with Australian Standard AS 3660.2
- Thermal imaging and moisture detection included at no extra cost
Termite treatment
Termite treatment pricing depends on the inspection findings, the construction type, the extent of any infestation and the recommended treatment strategy. A starting price of $550 applies, but final pricing is determined after inspection. Never accept a fixed price for termite treatment without an inspection — it's not possible to determine the right treatment without assessing the property.
Be wary of unusually cheap termite treatment quotes. Effective termite management requires quality products, proper application and follow-up monitoring. A quote significantly below market rate may mean corners are being cut — and termite corners are the ones you can't afford to cut.
Pest management plans
Annual pest management plans provide ongoing protection and are more cost-effective than one-off treatments for most homes. Plans include one general pest treatment per year, priority booking, discounted emergency call-outs, and 10% off specialist treatments. An annual termite inspection is available as an add-on. Plans start from $17.50/month for units and townhouses, or $25/month for a single storey home.
For most Newcastle homes, a pest management plan costs about the same per year as two one-off treatments — and provides far better protection, with priority service and discounted emergency call-outs — particularly in the Hunter's high termite risk zone.
Specialist treatments
- Rodent control — a specialist treatment priced on assessment (from $220 standalone, or $165 when bundled with a general spray); also available as a Rodent & Mice Coverage add-on on pest management plans
- Bed bug treatment — priced on assessment; requires intensive, multi-visit treatment
- Bee and wasp treatment — priced on assessment depending on nest location and accessibility
- Commercial pest management — priced based on premises size, risk level and service frequency
